01 Wi-Fi fault finding
02 Internet & provider coordination
03 Office network changes
Practical help, clearly scoped
From the first question to a working result.
01
Separate internet faults from local network faults
We establish whether the issue affects one device, one room, wireless connections or the whole business. That narrows the investigation before equipment is replaced. Where the internet service is involved, we help coordinate an evidence-based fault report with your provider.
02
Design for the space and the workload
Walls, device locations and busy meeting rooms can change wireless performance. A network review considers the floor plan, access point placement, wired connections and the applications your team uses. New equipment is selected against agreed requirements instead of an assumed need for the largest system.
03
Make network changes controlled and recoverable
We record the relevant equipment, configuration and authorised access before changing a live network. The work plan identifies a maintenance window, how affected staff will be told and what will be tested afterwards. Any rollback arrangements are agreed for the specific change.
04
Coordinate installation with the right trades
Fixed communications cabling and electrical work may require appropriately registered or licensed trades. Wayrest can coordinate the technical requirements and configure compatible equipment; regulated installation work is arranged with qualified specialists and quoted separately where required.
Before we talk
A little context helps us get started.
You do not need a technical assessment before making contact. Share what you know; we
can work through the gaps together.
Who and which locations are affected
Whether wired connections work when Wi-Fi fails
Your internet provider and network equipment if known
Sometimes. We investigate the fault first. Placement, configuration, interference or a device issue may explain the problem; replacement is proposed only when justified by the findings.
Will you speak to our internet provider? +
With your authority, we can help report faults and coordinate troubleshooting. Provider restoration times and their service commitments remain outside Wayrest’s control.
Can staff and visitors use separate Wi-Fi? +
Where the equipment supports it, guest access can be designed separately from business systems. We confirm the required access and test the configuration.
Do you install fixed network cabling? +
Regulated cabling is handled by appropriately registered cablers. We can help define the requirement, coordinate the work and configure the network equipment.
Will an onsite visit be needed? +
Remote checks may narrow the issue, but coverage, cabling and physical hardware faults often need a visit. Attendance, travel and scope are confirmed before booking.
Can you support more than one office? +
Yes, subject to an agreed design and support scope. We review site connections, user access and the dependencies between locations before proposing changes.
A straightforward next step
Tell us what needs to work better.
We will discuss the setup, the problem and the right next step before proposing work.
