03 Post-move testing
Practical help, clearly scoped
From the first question to a working result.
01
Identify the long-lead dependencies early
Internet services, building access, fixed cabling and equipment delivery can determine the move schedule. We help list the dependencies and the people responsible for them. A target opening date is checked against those requirements before a technical cutover is agreed.
02
Map the equipment to the new workplace
We review staff locations, desks, printers, meeting rooms and network equipment. The plan records what will move, what will be replaced and what needs configuration. Existing assets are labelled or recorded so the intended setup is clear at the destination.
03
Agree a staged cutover and fallback
The move plan identifies the order of work, authorised downtime and the checks needed before staff resume normal activity. Where practical, services can be prepared ahead of the physical move. Any temporary connectivity or alternative work arrangement needs to be confirmed with the business.
04
Check the business can actually work
After installation, we test the agreed essentials: sign-in, email, shared files, printing, internet and meeting tools. Outstanding items are recorded with owners. Equipment transport, building works, electrical installation and regulated cabling are scoped with suitable suppliers.
Before we talk
A little context helps us get started.
You do not need a technical assessment before making contact. Share what you know; we
can work through the gaps together.
Move date, addresses and building access windows
Floor plans, staff numbers and equipment inventory
Before confirming the final setup or cutover date. Connectivity, cabling, procurement and building access may have lead times that cannot be solved on moving day.
Can you arrange our new internet connection? +
We can help define requirements and coordinate with the chosen provider when authorised. Availability, activation and provider contracts remain subject to their terms.
Can the business keep working during the move? +
We plan around the downtime you can accept and discuss temporary options. Continuity depends on the systems, providers and agreed arrangements; uninterrupted service is not assumed.
Do you physically transport equipment? +
Transport and handling responsibilities are confirmed in the project scope. Specialist movers, installers or trades may be required.
Will you test printers and meeting rooms? +
Yes, when those systems are included in the project. The acceptance checklist names the equipment and tasks that will be tested.
Can you support the office after the move? +
A managed IT arrangement can be agreed alongside the project. We document the new setup so ongoing support starts with a clear record.
A straightforward next step
Tell us what needs to work better.
We will discuss the setup, the problem and the right next step before proposing work.
