One place for your staff to turn when technology needs attention. From a new monitor to recurring email problems and business-wide changes, Wayrest helps keep your systems usable and your people working.
Help communicate with your software, hardware and internet suppliers. We work through the agreed issue rather than leaving your staff to chase providers.
06
Changes and projects
+
Workstation rollouts, migrations, office technology refreshes, business applications, integrations and custom software where necessary.
A typical plan brings these six areas together for an agreed monthly fee. Your proposal names the users, devices and systems included, along with check frequency and work limits.
01
Everyday support
A clear contact for computer, email, login and application problems affecting your team.
02
Staff and device administration
Joiners, leavers, account permissions and routine setup for the users and devices on your plan.
03
Maintenance and protection
Scheduled update and security checks, with monitoring and endpoint tools listed in your proposal.
04
Backups and recovery
Checks of the agreed backup systems, a restore-test schedule and a record of gaps that need attention.
05
Guides and system records
Practical staff instructions and technical records, reviewed as the systems we manage change.
06
Monthly service review
A plain-English summary of support work, recurring issues, outstanding risks and recommended next steps.
A clear price before you commit.
We quote from your staff and device counts, locations, software, existing setup and required support coverage. The proposal separates the monthly fee from onboarding or catch-up work, licences, hardware, onsite travel and major projects. Any applicable tax is shown.
Routine equipment setup and onsite help can be included where the plan says so. New locations, major migrations, large rollouts and specialist trades are scoped separately. Work outside the plan needs an agreed quote or approval.
Your team gets usable instructions. Your business gets a record of the systems it depends on. Passwords stay in an agreed secure vault, separate from everyday guides.

Your first 30 days with Wayrest
A typical sequence, from the first conversation to a shared view of your IT.
We begin once the agreement and initial payment arrangements are in place. Timing depends on access, your existing provider and the work agreed in the proposal. Technical scans require separate permission.
Start
Before service starts
Discuss your business, review the current setup and agree on scope, monthly cost, onboarding work and support expectations in writing.
01
Week 1: establish the baseline
Arrange authorised access and any provider handover. Record agreed systems, account ownership, devices, backup status and the highest-priority gaps.
02–03
Weeks 2–3: put the plan to work
Set up the agreed support and maintenance tools, work through approved priorities, test agreed recovery steps and prepare the first staff guides.
04
Week 4: review together
Walk through the system records and service summary. Confirm open issues, named owners, next actions and the next review date.
Your handover: system register, support instructions, initial guides and a prioritised action list. Open gaps keep a named owner and next step.
What happens when you need help?
Report the problem through your agreed support channel. For an outage stopping the business, call 0485 999 543 and explain who is affected.
Start with the impact
“Who is affected, and what has stopped?”
01
Acknowledge and assess
Record the issue, assess its impact and confirm the next step. A business-wide outage takes priority over a planned equipment request.
02
Keep you informed
Your update identifies the owner, progress, supplier dependencies and when to expect the next update.
03
Resolve and review
The issue stays tracked through resolution. Relevant system records and guides are updated as the managed setup changes.
The service window and initial-response targets for each priority are written into your proposal. Initial response means someone has assessed the request and explained the next step; it is different from a promised resolution time. After-hours arrangements must be agreed separately.

Managed IT support FAQs
Can you be our whole IT department?
Yes, for the systems and support hours agreed. Wayrest can be the primary IT contact for
your team and coordinate external suppliers and appropriately qualified specialists.
Do we have to sign a monthly contract?
No. One-off diagnostics or defined projects can be agreed separately. If you want ongoing
coverage, we design a managed agreement around your business.
Will you install equipment purchased elsewhere?
Yes, provided it is compatible and safe to install. We can assist with procurement too.
Labour, equipment and any travel arrangements are confirmed in the scope or quote.
Where do you work onsite?
We arrange visits across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter based on location and
scheduling. See service areas and remote coverage.
What affects the monthly price?
Staff and device counts, sites, applications, the current environment and required support
coverage all affect the scope. Onboarding, subscriptions, hardware and larger projects are
identified separately where applicable.
Will we keep control of our accounts and records?
The proposal sets out account ownership, authorised access, documentation and handover
arrangements. We review existing ownership gaps during onboarding.
Is a backup check the same as a restore test?
No. A backup job result says something different from recovering data. The service records
distinguish the two and specify which restore scenarios and schedule have been agreed.
Can you manage a team that works across several locations?
Yes, subject to the agreed users, systems and sites. Remote support, physical attendance
and travel arrangements are defined before the service begins.
Tell Wayrest how many staff you have, what systems you rely on and what is currently frustrating your team. We can discuss an initial assessment and suitable support arrangement.
